Precision Solar Renewables is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a BESS Estimator. As a BESS Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing and analyzing Solar+BESS or BESS standalone project requirements to provide accurate and competitive cost estimates. This position requires a strong understanding of renewable technology, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.

What you’ll do

Pay
$90,000 - $110,000/per year
Estimate projects in accordance with Precision Solar Renewables’ policies and procedures.
Provide estimates for the design-build, conceptual/schematic and various stages of progress construction drawings through final contract pricing.
Project assessment- conduct thorough site assessments to gather relevant data.
Develop and complete DG Solar, Utility scale solar PV and Battery Storage System (BESS) estimates, including self-perform and subcontracted scopes of work.
Review final construction drawings and specifications to determine final scope of work.
Performs quantity take-offs as needed to support estimates.
Work closely with the preconstruction team, project managers, purchasing and engineering.
Collaborates with preconstruction managers for engineering support services and deliverables as basis of estimates.
Receive, prioritize, and distribute requests for quotes to vendors and subcontractors; analyze responses for accuracy, completeness, and efficacy.
Quantify resources and production rates for installation of renewable project components.
Collaborates to generate and reviews project schedule, engineering, procurement, construction, and client deliverables.
Utilize feedback from project engineers and procurement on material lead times and design durations.
Work with internal constructability team to ensure construction means and methods are being implemented.

Minimum Requirements
Prefer BS degree in an engineering/construction related disciplined program.
Preference given for experiences in Solar, Renewable Energy, or Power Generation.
Minimum of 3-6 years’ experience estimating renewable construction projects.
Must have experience estimating battery storage, rooftop, DG Solar and EPC scale projects.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Demonstrated skills in written communications; ability to compose basic as well as complex technical documents, formal letters, and invoices.
Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
HCSS/Heavy Bid estimating software experience is plus but not required.
